Women and Financial Planning

Moneyweave® Academy offers more advanced, comprehensive, and female-focused content than is commonly found across the financial services industry or other financial literacy sites.

Our content is organized by our proprietary Six by Six™ framework of comprehensive financial planning. The Six by Six™ framework helps us put information in context to be more easily understood and readily found.

We are firm, uncompromising believers in financial planning education that is process-oriented and holistic in scope. This means we adhere to how the Certified Financial Planning Board of Standards has long identified financial planning: a process that encompasses six areas.

Six Areas of Financial Planning

Actions in one aspect of financial planning often have ripple effects in other areas. That’s why we take a  holistic, comprehensive, and interdisciplinary approach to financial planning.

  • Improving financial position: cash, cash flow, debt and balance sheet management.
  • Protection and risk planning: personal, property, casualty, business and liability risk analysis and management.
  • Tax management and planning: strategies to avoid (not evade) current taxes, projection of potential income, property, business and estate tax liabilities, and holistic tax management strategies.
  • Retirement planning: analysis of goals, sources and uses of cash and the respective risks of inflation, longevity, singlehood medical needs, taxes and long-term care.
  • Investing with purpose: investment goal and gap analysis, risk/reward tradeoffs, risk management including modern portfolio and capital market theories, strategic asset allocation, portfolio stress-testing, and behavioral finance.
  • Legacy (estate) planning: loving and living legacies, challenges, projecting growth of estates, asset titling, trust, and charitable and intergenerational asset transfer techniques.

Our mission is to provide trustworthy, comprehensive, and competent financial planning education for women that inspires sound decision-making, purposeful action, and philanthropy.

The Process of Financial Planning
