Moneyweave® Academy Board Certified Experts
To fulfill our vision and mission, we are building a connected network of Board Certified Experts and engaged, passionate supporters who firmly believe in our cause of helping women become more financially secure. Through the career experience and technical expertise of our Board Certified Experts, we connect high-quality educational content with how women in the United States live their lives today.
There are hundreds of certifications across the financial, tax and legal professions. Research reveals that most lack academic rigor and enforcement. This “alphabet soup” of designations is confusing and often disserves the public.
We require our experts to have advanced education and board certifications including possessing – at minimum – these credentials: Certified Financial Planner® (CFP®), Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Juris Doctor.
Each Board Certified Expert certifies annually that he or she acts as a fiduciary, is in good standing with certifying and regulatory bodies and will upload our pledge. Last but not least, our experts have demonstrated strong interest and expertise in specifically helping women address complex financial, tax and legal planning challenges they often face at disproportionate rates to men.
We require our experts to meet the following strict, stringent and unambiguous qualifications:
Upholding a common code of ethics and conduct that includes:
- Demonstrable commitment to improving the financial security of American women and girls.
- Putting client best interests first, and always.
- Being transparent about compensation and provide cost estimates upfront.
- Disclosing conflicts of interest in advance.
- Discussing alternatives, recommendations and rationale.
- Providing recommendations in writing.
- Treating all people with dignity and respect.
Possessing at minimum, these academic qualifications, degree and/or certifications:
- Undergraduate degree.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP®), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or Juris Doctorate (JD).
- At least six college-level classes in their field of practice.
- Strict continuing education requirements.
- Five years of experience as a financial, tax and/or legal practitioner.
- Demonstration of mastery through a comprehensive final exam and/or boards, as well as rigorous and regular certifying board inspection of practitioner’s competence, ethics and record.
Have a “clean bill of health”
- Our Board Certified Experts also certify annually they are in good standing with all state, federal and industry regulators, along with their certifying boards.
- “Good standing” includes but is not limited to the absence of adverse regulatory actions, board sanctions, or bankruptcies.
